Marvel Universe’s upcoming project Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings might be delayed consider the recent turn of events of the outbreak of COVID-19. However, the lead actor of the upcoming film Simu Liu has reacted to the film’s new delayed release date. Let us find out what the actor has to say about the delay.

How Did Simu Liu React To The Delaying Of Marvel’s Upcoming movie Shang – Chi?

Apparently, the actor seems to be pretty thrilled about being a summer movie star. After sudden shifts and changes, the studio has announced that the release date for the upcoming Marvel Phase Four film has been moved to the prime spot of May 7, 2021.

This release date was initially slated for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness. This date would start off as the lucrative summer movie season, where studios tend to roll out some of their biggest blockbusters of the year. Simu Liu shared his excitement with a post via his Twitter account and a Gif where the actor is seen dancing in the Canadian sitcom Kim’s Convenience.

The Film Has Been Pushed Back For A Summer Release Next Year!

If the past is any indication, then Marvel movies tend to do well with a summer release. Black Panther was a huge success and was a February release. So Shang Chi has lucked out with its a new release date.

Moreover, it seems like even Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson also agrees and pointed out over the weekend that the delay can be a blessing in disguise. He says that it will give Cretton and his team more time to make the best movie possible. It seems like Simu Liu is positive about this delay. Fans should wait for the film to hit the box office next summer.
